Included

Six areas, one subscription

Each line below is in the portal today; your seats and terms are set in your firm agreement.

  • Your firm’s workspace

    • Every client engagement on one board, with a ranked list of what needs a person next. No dollar figures on the board.
    • Open any study into the same review workbench Ricerca’s own team uses for its direct studies.
    • Start a standard or amended study for a new or returning client.
    • Roll a client’s study forward to the next tax year.
  • Client intake and data

    • Invite a client contact and their study, your engagement letter and a secure invitation are created in one step.
    • Clients connect payroll, GL and engineering systems or upload exports, and answer technical questionnaires.
    • The platform reads the general ledger and proposes candidate supplies, computer-rental and contract-research costs. Your team approves or rejects each one.
    • Prior-year returns are read for the base period and the Regular vs ASC choice, and every misread line you correct is recorded.
    • Help a client in their own portal through an audit-logged support session.
  • Review and sign-off

    • AI drafts the narratives. Your preparers direct each redraft and approve or reject it.
    • Every AI flag needs a human disposition, and you can require a written basis per team member.
    • Readiness checks block issue until they are cleared.
    • Engagement quality review, partner position sign-off and CPA approval are recorded in one sign-off register.
    • Your signing CPA e-signs the preparer attestation; your client e-signs the representation letter and penalties-of-perjury declaration. Each signature records the exact text signed.
    • A finalized study locks, so the numbers you filed cannot drift.
  • Deliverables in your firm’s name

    • The study report, a filing packet keyed to each form line, and pro-forma Forms 6765, 3800 and 8974.
    • Section G business-component data and state credit rows computed with the federal credit.
    • An audit-defense workpaper binder and the Excel workbook that stay with your firm.
    • Three enforced delivery steps: generate as final, finalize and lock, issue to the client.
    • Deliverables carry your firm’s name, not ours, and an issued final can be verified by its fingerprint, naming your firm as the issuer.
  • Team and security

    • Seats for your team only.
    • Roles for partners, managers, staff, reviewers and CPA signers, with clear limits: no one can grant a role above their own.
    • Sign in with Microsoft 365, or with a password; two-factor authentication is available to every user.
    • A firm-wide audit log you can export, tamper-evident so later edits show.
    • Set retention windows and place legal holds yourself.
    • Taxpayer-identifying data is redacted automatically before anything reaches an AI model.
  • Integrations

    • Read-only API keys for reporting into your own practice systems.
    • Signed webhooks when a study is finalized, a study is issued, a document is requested or a study changes stage.
Seats

Sized by seats, for your team only

Your seats are agreed with you in your firm agreement.

  • Every active team member takes a seat, and so does each pending staff invitation.
  • A deactivated member frees their seat.
  • At the limit, a new invitation is refused with a clear message until a seat frees up or your seats change.

Never a seat

How it is agreed

A conversation, not a checkout

There is no sign-up form. Every firm starts with a walkthrough.

  1. Step 1: A walkthrough

We show you the CPA Firm Portal on synthetic data and answer your questions.

  2. Step 2: A firm agreement

We agree your seats, billing and terms with you in writing. Prices are quoted after the walkthrough.

  3. Step 3: Your workspace

Ricerca sets up your firm’s workspace and sends your administrator a secure invitation link.

The limits, stated

What a subscription is not

Better to know before the walkthrough than after it.

  • Not cost segregation

The portal runs R&D credit studies. Cost segregation is by introduction: Ricerca prepares the study as a direct engagement with your client.

    Cost segregation for your clients
  • Not Audit Protection

Audit Protection belongs to Ricerca’s own direct engagements. A study your firm runs is defended with your firm’s own file.

  • Not a managed service

Ricerca’s team does not review, finalize or sign your firm’s studies. Your people do, on the platform.

  • Not a tax preparer

Ricerca does not sign or file returns, and does not hold itself out as your client’s preparer.

  • Not a billing channel

Your firm sets and collects its own fees. The platform never charges your clients.

  • The portal keeps our mark

The client portal carries the Ricerca mark. Your firm is named on the invitation, throughout the portal and on every deliverable.

Billing

Billing questions

Plainly answered.

Every firm question
How is the subscription priced?
By seats. Prices are quoted after a walkthrough and set in your firm agreement, along with billing frequency and term. We do not publish prices.
Do our clients pay Ricerca anything?
No. You set and collect your own fees. The engagement letter the platform issues in your name says your fees are set by your firm and agreed with the client directly, and the platform never charges your clients.
What counts as a seat?
Each active member of your team, and each pending staff invitation. Clients never take a seat, and a deactivated member frees theirs.
Can we change our seats later?
Yes. Seats are set in your firm agreement, and we change them with you when your team changes.

The boundary. Your firm signs and files the return. Ricerca does not sign or file returns, and does not represent anyone before the IRS.
